About us

NoPalm Ingredients produces tailor-made yeast oils & fats, made from agri-food waste streams that are perfect substitutes to palm and other vegetable oils in food, cosmetics, and home care products. Our products offer a two-sided solution that reduces both the use of palm oil and food waste.

Founded in 2021, NoPalm Ingredients is on a mission to challenge companies and product manufacturers to implement our local, circular, and sustainable oils as an alternative to palm oil.

By upcycling agri-food side streams into circular yeast oils, we are making a worldwide environmental impact, contributing to a waste-free world, decarbonizing the entire value chain with 90% less greenhouse gas emissions, and limiting the impact on natural habitats as we reduce land-use by 99%.

About the role

This internship is your opportunity to think strategically and creatively about how to amplify NoPalm Ingredients’ message—both internally and externally—as we build a sustainable alternative to traditional oils and fats. You'll help us tell a story that resonates with diverse audiences. 

As part of a fast-moving startup, you’ll experience a dynamic, collaborative environment and contribute to a wide range of communication outputs, from web and social media content to event support and internal communications. With a dual focus on the food and beauty industries, you’ll gain hands-on experience creating content tailored to two exciting and innovative sectors. 

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll play a key role in bringing our brand voice to life through storytelling, visuals, and tone. Your work will help build awareness, engage our audiences, and support our commercial growth.

•  Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for strategic and creative content 

• Monitor the performance of our website and social media channels, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and reach 
  

• Assist with the preparation of events, translating marketing goals into actionable plans 
  

• Create diverse and engaging content for LinkedIn and Instagram, aligned with our brand identity and tone of voice
  

• Build and engage our social media community, including partners, investors, media, and peers 

• Identify relevant trends in the food and beauty industries and write articles for our website, promoting them across our channels 

• Keep our website up to date with fresh content and visuals that reflect our progress and innovation 

About you

You care about details, and you take pride of ownership in your work. Friends describe you as a creative person and a gifted communicator. And they know that you would love to work in a fast-paced startup environment, taking on new and exciting challenges every day. Next to this, you have a passion for design. You're social and can translate any science related topic into an understandable and impactful story. In a bit more detail, we are looking for someone who: 

• Is pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO) in a relevant field such as Communications, Multimedia Design, Creative Business, Marketing, Journalism, or the Arts 
  

• Has experience with design and content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, and/or CapCut 

• Has strong writing skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content 

• Can work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership 

• Has a passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the world 

• English is mandatory, Dutch would be an advantage 

• Is available from September to February (we’re open to discussing a different timeframe if needed) Duration: 5–6 months
